Hotel Chateau Le Mas De Montet Riberac : Rooms from 150.00

Château Le Mas de Montet, a beautifully restored Renaissance château that has provided high-quality accommodation before and since Président François Mitterrand was a regular guest. Sumptuously appointed with period furnishings throughout, the privately owned Château provides elegant luxury, comfort and complete relaxation. Château Le Mas de Montet is set in 130 acres of parkland and ancient woodland, bordered by the River Dronne. This is where the Périgord Vert and the South Charente meet in a delightful blend of rolling hills, forest and waterways. Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, one of 'Les Plus Beaux Villages de la France', is just five minutes away. It is a magnificent place to relax and offers the opportunity to explore the Dordogne, the Charente, and the Bordeaux region.

The 10 suites and bedrooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floor of the castle. They all feature unique design and furnishings and they offer beautiful views overlooking the park or garden. Most of the rooms have 4-poster beds. Every bed is made up of luxuriously pocketed spring mattresses, fine Egyptian cotton bed linen, and duvets. The contemporary bathrooms are equipped with bright white Villeroy and Boch fittings, luxurious toiletries such as Essenza Di Zegna, by Italian fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna, or Pure White Indulgence, from The White Company. Sumptuous Velour bathrobes and complimentary slippers are also included.

  • Food & beverage

Château Le Mas de Montet’s unique position allows it to draw on a rich gastronomic heritage and the fine local produce of the Périgord and the Charente regions, both of which are complemented by the world-class wines of the Bordeaux region and the increasingly excellent Bergerac wines. You can enjoy delicious gourmet cuisine and a 4-course meal that changes every day in the refined setting of the dining room. Please kindly reserve dinner at least 24 hours in advance and by midday at the latest. We are more than happy to cater for special dietary requirements, such as vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. This service is subject to at least 48 hours notice. For arrivals after 20:00, the chef can put together a light supper (at an additional cost) which can be served until 22:00, with prior notice.

  • Area information

Château Le Mas de Montet is ideally placed to explore the Dordogne, Charente and Bordeaux regions. "Toutvent", the family home of Président François Mitterrand is within a stone's throw of Château Le Mas de Montet.
