In front of Bercy, it is a district in full refurbishing state which started with the opening of the François Mitterrand library (Splendid building made up of four towers in concrete and glass, with in its center a splendid garden which conceals the written memory of the country since it is the headquarters of the National Library where many historians come to work.
One can go there starting from the Place de la Concorde with the new tube (Météor) on the line 14.
Further while moving away from the Seine you will see the Place d’Italie (Italy square) border of the biggest Parisian Chinese areas, which extends on a few hectares and where you will taste the Chinese cuisine and will come to the many supermarkets full of chinese food imports where the tags are very often only written in Cantonese. Going back towards the Seine, you will move to the Gare d’Austerlitz (Austerlitz’s station) which used to serve the south and whose importance dropped much with the rise of the Gare de Lyon.
